Fraud app

This does not work at all !!! I want my money back

Restart for every Screenshot

This app used to be pretty great. On Yosemite however I have to restart the app for every single screenshot. If not it only shows the first screenshot taken when trying to save - no matter how many more screenshots I take. Seems like support for this product was cancelled altogether as this bug was reported years ago without anyone taking notice.

Can’t copy to clipboard

I’m using the Mac app, not the Chrome extension. Capturing is easy with a menu-bar icon. Lots of annotation features. But as far as I can tell, there’s no way to copy a screen grab to the clipboard: there’s no “copy” command in the toolbar, there are no right click options, and command-C doesn’t work. You have to save the image and copy in another app. That’s a deal breaker for me.

Doesn’t capture the entire page

I just bought this app because they pulled the Safari extension. It does not capture my entire web page, so it’s pretty much useless. Also, no support or contact info on their website. Not responding on Twitter. How do I get my money back?

Does NOT do anymore than what mac aleady does

Read mixed reviews so thought for $ 5+ I would try for myself. Disappointed. As I had read in earlier review, the app captures ONLY WHAT IS SEEN IN SCREEN (not website) which macs aready do without an app. There has been no response / support either. Don’t waste your time or money.

Simple and nice

Enjoyed simple interface and nice avatar of the app. Nice one and easy to use.

Nice

Please add some basic photoshop hot keys like hold spacebar (for free positioning) and shift key (to specify the correct proportions and right angle of lines) while draging shapes. It would also helpful to be able to edit the size and positioning of elements already drawn. Some of these features are already in Mac Preview (annotate feature). Thanks for your app!

Works as described

Does what is says. Very simple to use and adds ability to add arrows, blur, circles, etc to the screen shot. I usually save the image to desktop and then just drag that to email app to mail out. This app works mych better than the free safari extension app.

great app + issue

i like it : ) simple and helpful but i cant use it to get another screen shot, its give me the old caputer must restart the app .. please fix it great work thx

one step away from perfect

this is a great app but one thing i would like to see is it always running in the background with its icon only in the menu bar.

I love this app

Ive been needing something like this forever! Easy to use and I dont know about the other reviewers but I can get screen shots with no problems, even in Safari. A GREAT APPLICATION! GET IT!

...

Only will take a picture of my desktop background. Didnt work for me. Mabye youll have better luck.

Would Not Open??

I absolutely love this application, as an Add-On for Firefox, but as a stand alone app on my iMac....well it wouldnt even open. Im not sure what Im missing here, or if it doesnt open, but it becomes a option in a right click menu? But I opened Safari and right clicked, and never saw an option for Awesome Screenshot. If you had actually provided some information on how to start and use the program, well that would have been nice. And I hate to leave a non-positive review, and I think I was generous with leaving 3 stars, because I absolutely adore this app in Firefox, but until you actually explain how to use this on my computer, and make it so it actually opens when I click it, well, I have to stand by my less than stellar review. iMac 10,6, 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.6.8

Repeat crop failed

It is good, but if you crop two times on one screenshot then save, the result image file is not the area cropped.

Just what I was looking for!

A cheap, simple but quality screen capture app> Just what I was looking for!

Save your money

Save your money, this a good product but you can save yourself $4.99, there is a way screenshot something for free by just pressing command + shift + 3 for the whole screen or command + shift + 4 for a section of the screen for free and it automaticaly saves it to your desktop.

Have to save twice

Unless Im doing something wrong I find that I have to save it twice if I want any text to be saved which I added using the embedded writing/markup feature.

Not as advertised

One star is too many. The formerly free version of this product worked just fine but then the feature of capturing the entire page (not just visible) stopped functioning. I needed this capability so I went to the App Store to check for an upgrade and discovered that there was now a $4.99 price tag. I paid the money but it still does not work. Then I did some searching and discovered the Capture Entire Page capability is available with Google Chrome, for free. I wasted my money, dont waste yours.

Not so awesome...

I take a screenshoot of my Chrome window. I save it. I go to a different page. Take a screenshot of the Chrome window and the old screenshot appears instead of the new page.

Why is a Save button so hard?

So I started out with a really horrible review because it seemed like there wasnt a way to just save locally. Turns out you just click to close the capture/annotation window and then it asks if you want to save. Other than the lack of a intuitive save local feature, seems to be a great app.
